Claims in the Triad were down 1.7% in May and 17.2% over the past 12 months. In May, in seasonally adjusted terms, there were 1,967 new unemployment claims, or 0.3% of those employed in the Triad. Nationally, claims were down 3.1% in May and have fallen 11.4% over the past 12 months.
